RALLY PIZZA @ VICTOR-23 CRAFT BREWERY!

Rally Pizza is owned by husband-and-wife team Alan Maniscalco and Shan Wickham. Rally is thrilled to partner with Victor-23 Craft Brewery! Our residency inside the brewery launched March 2023, pairing our pizzas with delicious Victor-23 beers in a family-friendly brewpub setting. We offer a selection of beer-friendly pies as well as a well-curated menu of sides, salads and bar snacks, all made with the same care and quality ingredients the Rally brand has always stood for.

At Victor-23, the kitchen is helmed by executive chef Alex McCormick, a Rally alum and graduate of the The Tod and Maxine McClaskey Culinary Institute at Clark College, and former sous chef at another Vancouver favorite, Little Conejo. The Rally torch has been passed to the next generation, and we couldn’t be happier!

Shan and Alan opened a second venture in 2023, the Lucky Horseshoe Lounge, an intimate Italian-American bar in SE Portland, next door to the Clinton Street Theater.

Our History

Shan grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa, where she worked as a librarian before moving to San Francisco to attend California Culinary Academy’s Baking and Pastry program.

Alan grew up in San Jose, California, as part of a large Italian-American family. He became a bread baker in his early twenties, first in Portland and then Phoenix, AZ. He acted as opening consultant for two artisan bread bakeries in Michigan before returning to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Alan and Shan met working at Restaurant Zibibbo in Palo Alto, CA. They’ve worked almost exclusively as a team ever since, moving to Detroit to open Stone House Bread South in Michigan, consult for community supported bakery Avalon International Breads in Detroit, and redesign the Whole Foods Market artisan bread line - Shan managing the bakery and Alan running the bread program.

They moved to Portland with their daughter Sage in 2003. Alan worked as Production Manager at Ken’s Artisan Bakery before co-founding Ken’s Artisan Pizza in Portland, Oregon, where he was the Executive Chef from 2006-2016. Shan was a Team Leader at Whole Foods until 2006, then Pastry Chef at Ken’s Artisan Pizza from 2006-2013.

In September 2016, Shan and Alan opened Rally Pizza in central Vancouver, Washington. A true family establishment, Shan and Alan’s daughter, Sage, started as a pizza cook at Rally while she was in high school, promoted to Sous Chef by 2020, and worked alongside Alan and Shan to create and prepare delicious new dishes for the menu. She is currently the Chef/Kitchen Manager at the Lucky Horseshoe Lounge.
